Paul Tomonari has worked in the Hawaii Hospitality industry in various executive positions, a career spanning over four decades.  His deep experience in managing small and large businesses has given him a well-rounded background for working with, encouraging, developing, and leading companies and associates at all levels of business.

Community service has long been a priority in his life, particularly in the last 15 years, where he has served on boards both in the hospitality industry and in the local community.  He currently holds board positions in Aloha Festivals, a Hawaiian cultural organization (elected co-Chair in 2011) and Ho’omaika’i – School for Creative Arts, a Christian education outreach organization.  He has served on the board of the Hawaii Hotel and Lodging Association (10 years), elder boards at Hawaii Kai Christian Church and Kaimuki Christian Church ( 25 years), leads small groups, and mentors Christian couples with his wife Gerry (20 years).

Paul was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, as a third generation descendant of Japanese immigrants who came to the Islands in the early 1900s.  He married Gerry in 1974 and they have raised three adult daughters who currently reside in Sydney, Australia; Paris, France; and Honolulu, Hawaii.
